Emily's Summer Surprise

Emily got two belated birthday presents this summer that just made her summer the "best ever"!  She had asked Nelson to build her a doll bunk-bed, but had never dreamed that Papa Willis would build a triple-bunk-bed that would match her bookcase too!  She even got bedding for it made by Nana Willis -- what a special gift that she will treasure for many, many years!  :)

 The second belated gift was an American Girl doll from Gramsy & Papa Lewis.  We surprised her with a trip to the newly opened AG store in Columbus and she was able to pick out the doll and some accessories.  She was in heaven!!  :)

It took her over a year to decide which doll she would like (it went from Saige, to Kaya, to Kit, etc.), but she finally decided on Caroline.  Emily liked her hair and she had the same name as her Aunt Caroline (whom Emily simply adores)!  :)

 Emily and Caroline talked the WHOLE two hours home and they've been fairly inseparable every since!

 Emily loved (and still does) Caroline't little shoes and her pet cat, Inkpot.  I guess it's the little things in life!
