I'm in 3-6 Month clothes now -- I'm getting so big!

2 Month Check-up

Today was Emily's 2 Month Check-up. She weighed in at 10 lbs 13 ozs and is 23.5" long. That would mean that since her last check-up, she has only gained 12 ozs but grew 2"! Dr. Joyce wants her to come in again in two weeks to check her weight gain, since it's a little low in comparison to her length -- but nothing to worry about, Grandma & Grandpa! :)

Unfortunately, Emily didn't take the shots as well today as she did last time. She got four today and we've never seen her scream like that! Her face was screaming without noise for a good 2-5 seconds before the wail came out -- and wow, was it a big scream! And the poor little thing, it started on the first of the four shots! She was just miserable!

Emily is still just amazing and changing everyday! She is starting to smile more and more, and now locks her eyes on us and follows us around the room. She is "sitting up" more and holding up her head really well too. She's sleeping about 10-12 hours a night and starting to take a few 1-hour naps during the day too -- it's fantastic!

That's about it for us -- oh my goodness, what did we do before Emily came along?! I'll keep posting pictures (of course) but will let you know how her appointment goes in two weeks re: her weight. Have a great night!

Happy Belated 2 Month Birthday, Emily!

That's right -- she was 2 Months old on Monday and we can't believe how time has flown by! She has her next drs appointment this upcoming Monday, so we'll let you know then how she's progressing. Until then, here are some more pictures! :)

Everyone keeps asking us who Emily looks like. We say she's a combination of both of us, but it's hard to tell. Here are a few pictures of Nelson and myself when we were little.

Grandma & Grandpa Lewis

Emily finally got to meet her Grandma & Grandpa Lewis and her Uncle Nathan & Aunt Jill this past weekend. They got here on Saturday afternoon and were excited to meet her -- as you can tell by the pictures. :) Nathan & Jill went back home yesterday and then Nelson's parents left this morning but are coming back mid-week. It was great to have them all here and we had a great time!

We put Emily back into the church nursery on Sunday and she did really well. It's getting easier to leave her and we're glad we started early versus months from now.

Well, that's about it for us. Things are still going really well and we are having a wonderful time with Emily -- she's amazing!! She is changing everyday and is so much fun! It's surprising how "little she does" but how captivating she can be! We're having a great time! :)

Happy 4th of July!

Well, it's been a very fun week! Emily and I went down to West Virginia last Tuesday to visit my best friend Laura and her parents. Ben, Laura's husband, flew into Canton on Friday night and then he and Nelson drove down to Huntington to meet up with us for the long weekend. We just got home about an hour ago and are enjoying being home -- but deeply miss our friends and "family". :)

Emily was amazingly wonderful during the week we were gone and adjusted well to her new surroundings -- I'm sure being adored by everyone who saw her helped that out a lot! ;) As you can tell by the pictures, we had a great time! Emily even got to be pampered one day with a long bath and curlers in her hair -- isn't she cute?! :)

We went to a concert in the park on Saturday and were able to see fireworks afterwards. Emily was an angel throughout the whole event and even smiled through the fireworks -- I think she enjoyed herself!

This was the first time that "Uncle Ben" had been around a baby for this long and I would have to say that he adjusted quite well -- and even looks like he was having a good time! He even gave Emily the nickname "pineapple" because of the way her hair lays (or doesn't lay).
