It's A Boy!!

Here is the latest ultrasound picture. It's hard to tell but his head is on the left with his spine along the bottom. His feet are bent at the knee and his feet are out towards the right. He wasn't cooperating with Judy this morning, so they were not able to see what we're having. But when we were in a few weeks ago they were able to tell it was a boy. We were waiting to tell everyone until we got a confirmation today, but I can't wait any longer! We're having a boy!!! :)

And here is also a picture of my belly -- sorry it's taken so long to get one! :)

One More Hospital Visit . . .

Yeah, we went back to the ER this afternoon. I missed all the staff and thought I would check-in! ;) Seriously, I was having some pain and discomfort with the catheter and they took it out. And now I am free of my "pee bag" as we had grown accustomed to calling it! Farewell old friend -- we will not miss you! :)

P.S. I'm feeling much better and everything seems to be working as it should! :)

One More Trip to The ER

That's right! We spent a few more hours in the ER again on Thursday night. First off, the baby is fine and doing ok (heartbeat still around 140 bpm). I was having some problems emptying my bladder -- meaning that I couldn't. So, I called the on-call OB and she said to come into the hospital. They put in a catheter and told me to keep it in overnight and then to report to my OB the next morning. So we all went home-- catheter in hand! :)

Because we went in at 10pm, we took Emily with us! She was a real trooper and we praise God we had such efficient nurses and doctors because we were only in the ER for two hours -- a record, I am sure! :)

We went into the clinic on Friday morning and they figured out that I have a bladder infection and put me on some antibiotics. They also informed me that the catheter would remain in until I check back in on Monday morning. (In the chance that the antibiotics wouldn't fix the problem quickly, they didn't want to remove the cath and then have me go back to the ER in a few hours when I couldn't go again. Makes sense I suppose, but oh man!) So, good times this weekend!!! :)

So, here I am telling you all about it. (Which I am sure you just wanted to know.) I am doing ok -- just a little uncomfortable. And it's kind of weird looking down on the cath bag and seeing that I'm peeing but not controlling it. It's one thing in the hospital -- a totally different story at home! :) And also an unfortunate bi-product of having a toddler -- Emily is quite fascinated by the whole thing and keeps wanted to play with the tubing! I keep telling her to "leave Mommy's pee-bag alone", but she doesn't quite understand. It's definitely something she's never heard before -- and something I had never thought I would say! :)~

Just thought you might like to know the latest (and not so greatest) and your prayers are always appreciated! :) Until next time . . . (which Lord willing will not be a post about the hospital!) :)
