Big Girl Bed

We finally got all the pieces together last night and put Emily's big-girl bed in her room. She didn't know what to think of us moving out the crib but once her butterfly (or "buh-fy" as she says) bedding was set-up, she was quite pleased! So much so that it was hard to actually get her to sleep in the bed -- she had to point out all the butterflies and flowers first. :)

It's hard to believe that she's old enough for a bed already -- where has the time gone?!

Nelson's Bookcase

We took advantage of Nathan's familial ties and put him to work on Saturday helping Nelson bring in the bookcases. They're really heavy and Nelson needed a hand. They look really good and all he has to do is finish up the trim on top & bottom and stain the shelves. Almost done -- and they look fantastic!! :)

And of course Emily had to "help" Daddy. They are perfect height for a seat! :)

Family Visit

Nathan & Jill and Matt & Krissy & the girls came out for the weekend and we all had a great time. Emily has never squealed as much as she did over those few days -- she loved playing with the older girls. Very cute to see!!! :)

And Shelby & Colesy liked carrying Emily -- and as you can see, Emily enjoyed it too! :)

Taking a Walk With Daddy!

Aren't I Pretty?!

Emily got these beautiful hair-clips from her Aunt Judy & Uncle Dave -- isn't she pretty?! :) (And a little asleep too, I believe!)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, everyone! The "Easter Bunny" was here over the weekend and gave Emily her new favorite toy -- Gary the Lamb. (Long and strange story behind that name.) But she has fallen in love with him, as you can tell! :)

Nelson's Latest Project

Nelsons is building a bookcase for the office/music room. It's a corner case (the one on the far right) and then single cases on each side. They'll eventually be attached and trimmed out to look like they're one piece. Should be really nice!!

And here is a picture of Emily with Nelson's safety glasses -- cute, huh?! :)

Good Ol' Ohio

This has been one crazy week! Last weekend we barely had enough snow for Emily to play in and throw snowballs with. On Monday, it was over 60 degrees and so warm, that I pulled Emily's hair back into a ponytail. Tuesday, it dropped significantly and rained all day -- but isn't Emily cute in her raincoat and rainboots?! And then on Friday it started to snow. And it has not stopped since. Nelson estimates that we've gotten at least 10" -- plenty of snow for Emily to play with now!! Someone please tell me that Spring is coming -- and coming sometime soon! :)
In case anyone is wondering why Nelson is shoveling the backyard:
We couldn't figure out yesterday why the dryer kept shutting itself off -- until Nelson went into the backyard to find that the snow was covering it. Woops! :)

Throwing My First SnowBall

More Fun In The Snow!

Fun In The Snow

We "played" in the snow today -- for about 5 minutes until we all got too cold. But once Emily got used to walking on crunchy snow, she had a good time! She even got to throw a few snowballs at Daddy! :)
