Videos from Mom & Dad's visit
Here is a video of Emily blowing bubbles. She just can't get enough of them! :)
And here is a video of Dad tickling Alex after they fixed the picnic table together. Don't you just LOVE his giggle?! :)
Visit with Mom & Dad
Mom & Dad came for a visit this month, splitting up their time between Sharilyn, Nathan, Krissy & us. We had a blast with them and even got to spend some time with them and Krissy & the girls. It was so wonderful to have them here and as you can tell, we enjoyed each other's company! :) We LOVE Grandma & Grandpa!
Alex wanted to go outside and play with Colesy & Emily -- isn't this the cutest picture of Emily?! :)
Mom put Emily to bed most nights -- reading books, singing songs and praying. Emily just loved the change in routine and the special time with Grandma!Mom & Dad took Emily on a picnic at a local park. Emily loved her chicken nuggets and had a blast with Grandma & Grandpa! :)
More pictures of Emily at the park. She loved getting close to the geese! :)
Laughing with Grandpa -- it's so much fun! :)
Good time with Grandpa!
Isn't this just beautiful? Emily really loved her time with Grandma!
Sharon brought beads for the girls to play with and Emily (being as artsy as she is) just loved this! She even got to spell her name with the wooden beads -- one of the highlights of the week! :)
And Alex got to "help" Grandpa fix the picnic table -- it was so cute to watch! :)
And it wouldn't be a complete day without doing one of Emily's favorite activities -- bubbles! :)
We had a great time -- thanks for coming, Mom & Dad! :)

3 year check-up
Emily also had her annual check-up and grew 4" in the last year -- and only gained less than 2 lbs! Sounds about right, doesn't it? She's 38" tall and weighs in at a whole 31.2# (a mere 9 lbs more than her brother)!
1 year check-up
Alex had his 1 year check-up last week and Dr. Joyce is pleased with how he's growing and developing. He weighed in at 23.2# and is 30 1/2" long. What a big boy! :) And according to Dr. Joyce, Alex is in the middle of another growth spurt -- which would explain him sleeping longer and eating more. To be honest, we didn't think he could eat more than he was!! :) I'm afraid to see how he will be at 16 -- we're going to have to build another pantry for just him! :)
Alex is so close to walking that each day it surprises me that he hasn't started yet. He is still climbing up the stairs at an alarming speed, but last night he did manage to climb down 3 steps all on his own! YEAH!! :)
He is in the process of getting one more molar -- that would make a whomping 11 teeth! He is drooling all the time and is quite the mess! He doesn't seem to notice though -- typical boy, I guess! :)
