What A Nut!

Alex is quite the nut! He is always smiling like this and he's just as happy as can be!

And then that happy-go-lucky approach to life can change before you know it. One minute he can be happily "playing" Mozart on the piano and then the next minute, he's wailing at the top of his lungs. He was so instantly unhappy that Nelson had to snap a picture of it. What a nut! :)

A Good Day!

We pulled out some of Emily's dress-up clothes and had a photo shoot yesterday. She had a great time and loved trying on all the clothes!! :)

Alex's Adventure

Alex was bending down today to pick up a stuffed animal and bashed his head against the corner of the cedar chest. Luckily it wasn't any closer to his eye! I was pretty freaked out, but Nelson said it was ok and there was no need to take him to the doctor. Well, he was right because Alex was just fine once he stopped crying and now he's just his usual chipper-self! Crazy boy! :)

Emily's Newest Sweater

I knit this sweater for Emily for her first day of school. I think it turned out nicely, but Emily was more than excited about it! She was running around the house hugging herself saying, "It's SOOO pwetty!" How hilarious is that? :)

Trip to DC

We went out to DC this weekend to see some of my family. We had a GREAT time and it was nice for Alex to meet some of his "aunts" & "uncles". And Curt, Tracie & Ava were able to fly in too -- so it was a mini-reunion for us. :) This is my Uncle Stephen & Aunt Ellen with four of my cousins. We took the picture too late in the evening and the kids were getting pretty worn-out (in case you couldn't tell from the picture). But they did have fun with their Uncle Jared, Aunt Caroline, Aunt Abby & Aunt Hannah! :)

I just loved this picture of Alex with Aunt Ellen! Thank you, Ellen, for having us all over to your house! We had a wonderful time and it was great to see all of you! :)

We went to the zoo yesterday and this is how Emily saw most of it -- the best view in town! :)

And this is how Alex saw some of the zoo -- it was so hot and he was so tired! It was inevitable! :)

And how great is the picture -- the panda was right up against the glass. Super-cool! :)
