Emily's Explanation of Easter

Emily wanted to explain to us why we celebrate Easter and insisted that I get it on video.
We are so proud of her - what an angel!  :)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, Everyone!  I pray you have had a wonderful day and have had time to focus on our Savior and the freedom His death has given us.  Christ has risen!  He has risen indeed!
Last week at church, the worship team had all the kids join them up on stage and in the aisles to wave palm branches to the song "Hosanna".  It was so great and the kids had a wonderful time being a part of the service!  Alex is the boy in the front center on stage with the green shirt and black vest.

Alex even got to be up on the big screen a few times (the boy on the left)!  He was so excited to see himself up there that he completely forgot what he was doing and watched the screen the rest of the time!  :)

After Palm Sunday, we started off Holy Week with the kids catching the flu and then Nelson and I picking it up later on in the week.  Fortunately, we had nothing planned for this Spring Break Week, other than having some quality family time.  We didn't get much quality, but we did find a few moments of fun here and there.  One of them was the local Easter Egg Hunt.  It was 36 degrees and frosty, but it was sunny and nice to be outside!  :)

Here are the Easter pictures from this year.

I matched everything off of Emily's dress from Nelson, and I was so excited to get a suit for Alex!  Don't they look so grown up?!

We did our own egg hunt at home today too.  It was rainy this afternoon, so I hid them in the Family Room. The kids didn't seem to mind being inside (especially after freezing at the other egg hunt)!

Fun at the school's winter carnival

Emily's school had a winter carnival fundraiser and we had a great time!  Nana and Papa Willis were visiting and got to go with us - they were so lucky!  ;)

There were inflatables and the kids had so much fun
jumping and going down the big slide!  :)
