38 Week Check-up

Only two more weeks to go and we are getting very anxious over here!! :)

Today was another check-up and everything appears to be in order. Her heartbeat was around 120 beats per minute and she is still trying to kick as much as possible, although things are starting to get much more crowded for her! My contractions are picking up in frequency and strength but not much for regularity as of yet.

The doctor we met with today had very little bed-side-manner and we are hoping he won't be on-call when we go into labor. If he is, I might have to do everything I can to delay the birth!! ;)

My mom is here visiting this week. Nelson went down to Alabama to visit some friends and Mom came to keep me company. It has been nice to have her here and we have been very productive with cleaning the house and getting some things ready for the upcoming summer activities. I've been trying to rest despite the "work" and have even managed to squeeze in some Sense & Sensibility and Pride & Prejudice. Nothing like a little Mr. Darcy to help one relax! :)

We recently purchased a new vehicle since the last blog. We discovered that the carseat did not fit as well into the Jetta as we had hoped and we needed to get something a tad bigger. We found a great deal on a 2002 Nissan Altima and have enjoyed having the extra space!

Well, my next appointment is this upcoming Wednesday, so until then . . .
