For Sale

Anyone interested in purchasing a charming 3 Bedroom, 1.5 Bath house in Canton? That's right -- we put our house up for sale yesterday. As some of you know, we were seriously thinking about moving out of Ohio but, have since changed our minds. We feel that God wants us to stay in NE Ohio for a while longer. And because of the new addition to our family -- our house is getting a tad small -- especially with all of the company we keep having! (And to all of you who have come to visit -- we love you all and are so glad you came! We just want you to have more room next time you're here!) :)

We've started looking around at homes in the Green/Uniontown area (just North of Canton for those of you not from around here -- it'll be closer to church & Nelson's workplace) but haven't found anything definite yet. As soon as we do -- we'll let you know. Until then, we're just waiting on God's timing and provisions! But we're excited to see how the next few months play out! :)

The first open house for our place is next weekend and we are running around like mad-people trying to get things picked up and un-cluttered. There is lots to do but it's super-exciting at the same time! We have a really great realtor (if you're reading this Ginny -- "hi") and we are equally excited to work with her! :)

So, that's about it for the fantastic and latest news from us. Until next time . . .

Amazing Pictures!

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing the pictures are of Emily that were taken earlier this week! They took over 100 pictures and we narrowed it down to about 30 that we like. How do you choose 2-3 from 30? She's smiling and laughing in all of them and we couldn't have picked any cuter outfits! Once we narrow it down, we'll scan them in and let you all see them -- she is just such a cutie!! :)

I love my Grandpa!

My dad is visiting for the week and we're having a great time! Emily is LOVING the time with her Grandpa and giggling more and more -- most likely because of Grandpa! :)

Emily got her 3 Month pictures taken today (yeah, we're a little behind)! She did great and smiled through all of it -- with a short break for a feeding, of course! We went to Baby Faces Studio in Canton and would HIGHLY recommend them! They took all digital pictures and allowed us to see them as they were taken -- we were able to adjust the poses and clothes as much as we wanted. They were really great!! We should be able to see the pictures by tomorrow and we can't wait -- I'll try to scan them in and post them so that ya'll can see them!! :)

Until then . . .

A First!

Nelson and I went to a wedding this weekend and left Emily with my friend Rochelle. It was Emily's first time with a babysitter that wasn't Grandma or Grandpa. She did wonderfully and had a great time -- I'm sure almost as much fun as Rochelle and her family had watching her! :) It was nice to have a night out to ourselves and not worry about who Emily was with!

And this morning we visited the church we got married at. It had been a while since we had gone and it was nice to see a lot of good friends -- most of whom had not met Emily yet. It was a sweet time and we hope to visit a little more often from now on. :)

Teething

That's right -- Emily is teething! We noticed a few days ago that there were some bottom teeth coming in, but they've just started to show their tops today. She's sleeping a little more lately and we're assuming it's because of this?. She's drooling more and sucking/chewing on her fingers more than usual, but otherwise she hasn't changed much. I tell 'ya -- we are so blessed with this little girl! She sleeps through the night at 3 weeks old -- she gets two teeth coming in and she barely makes a peep! She's amazing! And look at her -- can you get any cuter?! :) (You can even see one of the teeth in this picture.)

Another Weight-Check Come & Gone

I took Emily to the doctor's office this morning and had her weighed/measured. She now weighs 11 lbs 10 ozs and is 25" long. We didn't get to see Dr. Joyce, but the nurse said Emily is progressing nicely. We have another appointment in a few weeks for her 4 month shots and will get her weighed and measured again then. That's about it for now . . .

More Labor Day Pictures . . .

Here I am with Grandpa & Aunt Tracie -- I had a lot of fun in WI! :)

I love my Great-Grandma!!

Home Sweet Home!

We left Wisconsin on Monday afternoon and got caught up in a lot of Labor Day Weekend traffic (all those people from IL traveling home from lakes in northern WI). We only got as far as an hour north of Chicago and had to stop -- we went about 5 mph for the last two hours of the trip. So, we found a hotel and crashed for the night. We got up pretty early the next morning and hit the road with no traffic problems the rest of the way home. We got home around 3:00 on Tuesday afternoon and it was nice to finally be here! Nelson went to the kennel and picked up Nora and she was excited to be home too! I think Emily felt the weight of the trip as well, as she slept majority of yesterday. She did really well though -- even through the heavy traffic jam on Monday.

We had a wonderful time in WI and got to see a lot of friends and family. To those I didn't get a chance to see -- we missed you and maybe we can catch up next time we're home! :)

Emily is continuing the gain weight and has another weight check this week -- I'll let you know how it goes, but we're not concerned. She's starting to get a lot of rolls on her legs and arms and her little face has really rounded out in the last week or two. She has also found her voice since we left for WI and is "talking" all the time now -- it is absolutely adorable!! :)

This month is looking pretty busy for us as we are hoping to finish up the rental house and put it up for sale. And on top of that, I have two weddings to work at my church. I love doing this job and I look forward to getting back into the swing of things! :) My church is also starting up a New Mom's Bible Study next week that I am planning to attend, as well as a knitting group twice a month. I am anxious for both of these activities to start -- it will be nice to get out of the house and meet new people! :)

Well, I think that's about it for now. I'll let you all know how the check-up goes.
So, until then . . .
