First Violin Lesson

Emily was fascinated when Nelson was practicing last night, so he gave her a "lesson"! :)

Alexander's First Video

I tried to get him to smile here but only got a little smirk. I'll keep trying! But at least you can hear his little voice! :)

Mr. Smiles

I was tickling his toes in this picture and tried to get a video of him "giggling" but he stopped as soon as I got the camera ready -- I'll keep trying! :)

No More Cast!

Emily got her cast off today and she is quite happy about being free of it -- doesn't she look ecstatic?! She did pretty well with getting it off and only cried a little. I think the mini-marshmallows she had afterwards might have helped! :)

Quite The Cutie!

A Beautiful Day!

Just a few pictures of our adorable children! :)

Sleep . . . Aaaah!

Alex slept from 7pm-6am last night and only woke up once -- so this is what sleep feels like!! :)

Just Another Picture

Isn't he cute?! :)

New Sitting Area

I moved my stained glass table from the dining room into the office and we bought some bar stools to go with it -- looks pretty nice, huh?! And we put the table on a timer so that it is turned on every morning and night -- we're enjoying it much more now! :)

1 Month Check-Up

Alex had his 1 Month Check-up today and surprised Dr. Joyce by how big he has gotten. He now weighs 10 lbs 12 ozs (56%) and is 22.5" long (66%). He is mostly torso but does have fairly long legs too. He got his HepB shot today and did not like that at all -- can't blame the little guy, huh?!

He is on a pretty good schedule now and eats every 3 hours, but every 4 at night. (Those nights of 6 hours were apparently a fluke.) We have him sleeping on his belly now and he really seems to do better with that than when he was on his back. He is starting to smile more and can hold up his head for a little while (which I tried to get in these photos). He LOVES his floor-gym and is starting to play with the toys a lot more. He is a real snuggle-bug and is just as precious as can be! :)

First Sentence!!!!!!!

Nelson's Mom bought some crazy hats for the kids (there was a picture of Emily and Nelson in a few from yesterday's blog). Well, here is Emily in another one. Emily wasn't too sure about them at first but she got pretty attached to them -- so much so that we "had" to wear it on a walk down to JRs (a local ice cream shoppe). Anyway, the day after this walk, Emily came into the kitchen with a hat in each hand and quite clearly stated "I have two hats". She was really proud of herself and we were proud of her that she said her first sentence! YEAH!! :)
(And as a side-note, you can see that Emily still has her cast on her arm. We took her into the drs office last week to have it removed but the bones hadn't quite healed. So, next week they will do another x-ray and see if they can take it off then.)

What Adorable Children!

Lewis Family Reunion

The Lewis Family Reunion was at our house this weekend (plus a few days) and we all had a wonderful time! The cousins loved playing with each other and the adults enjoyed getting to know each other again. We had bought the Nintendo Wii and it was a big hit with the kids and grown-ups . . . you should have seen us all bowling! :)

Alex and Brennan getting to play together.
Mom and Dad enjoying the backyard swing.
I'm not sure Dad had intended on being piled upon in the hammock, but it looks like he's enjoying time with the 4 older grandkids! :)

And plenty of silliness to go around! :)

Just relaxing in the backyard with the near perfect weather! :)
