SISTER HAZEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the best sister in the whole world -- just wanted everyone to know that!! For my 30th birthday present, she bought me tickets to see our favorite band perform -- SISTER HAZEL! They were at Epcot over the weekend and we got to see them perform 3 times -- it was amazing!! Thank you, Tracie -- you are the best!! :)

Tracie and I have listened to and loved Sister Hazel for over a decade! They are from Gainsville, FL and perform often in Florida. Tracie has seen them several times, but unfortunately they don't make it to Ohio very often. This was my first Sister Hazel concert and I screamed like a teenager seeing The Beetles or Elvis. Nelson would have been mortified had he been with me -- but we had a blast!! :) And as an extra bonus, my cousin Katie flew into Orlando on Saturday morning, so she got to come with us to the concert. Sister Hazel was performing three times on Saturday and between each set, they were making everyone leave the ampitheatre and go wait in line again. During the last song of the second set, Katie jumped up and got in line for us. Let me tell you -- I have an amazing family! :)
Sister Hazel is just amazing! They put on three great concerts and were fantastic live -- if you haven't heard them before, I'd highly, highly, highly recommend them! (www.sisterhazel.com) :)

Alex Walking

This isn't the greatest video, but it does show you how he's walking. I think he's finally realized how much faster it is to walk, because we never see him crawl anymore. He's just all over the house now! :)

Alex Over The Last Couple Weeks

What a handsome little guy! All dressed up and ready for church! :)
And you've gotta love that cheesey grin -- so contagious! :)

He loves to play with Emily's "princess kitchen". Not something she enjoys so much, but he has a good time with it! :)

And here he is trying to write -- such concentration!! :)

A Fall Day Outside

My wonderful and good friend, Angela, came over to watch the kids on Monday while I was at work and these are a few of the pictures she took of them playing outside. I just love Autumn! :)

Emily Over The Last Couple Weeks

Here are some pictures of Emily over the last couple weeks. We're still having problems with the camera/computer connection, so there will be a ton of pictures posted today and then probably nothing for a week again. Sorry 'bout that! :) She loves her legos and really likes to build steps. One of her little toys (I think a pair of small plastic ducks) is walking up the steps in this picture. She's such a nut! :)
And playing games is her other favorite activity. Here she's playing pente -- which basically entails her lining them all up in some randon, but purposeful, order. :)

This is a craft she made at church last Wednesday -- how cute is that? :)

And this is her sleeping on the couch (which she NEVER does). She was watching Mary Poppins and fell sound asleep. And I mean SOUND asleep. Nelson had the air compressor on in the basement -- no peep. I came home from work and Nelson and I chatted in the office -- no peep. I sat down on the couch to wake her and brushed her hair out of her face -- no peep. It was like trying to wake the dead -- she was out cold! :)

First Time at The Movies!

We took Emily to see Toy Story last weekend in the theaters. It was a double feature in 3D, but we only stayed for one show. She was so excited to be there and go on a "date" with Mommy & Daddy. She even got to have her own popcorn!! :)
I tried to get a picture of her looking at me, but she couldn't take her eyes off the big screen. Talk about being mesmerized!!

And you should have seen her trying to catch the things that were "flying" at her with the 3D affects! There was a preview for Jim Carrey's new Christmas movie, and at one point there were snowflakes coming out at you. Emily kept reaching for them and at one point she shouted, "I caught it, Mommy!" It was hilarious! :)

But by the end of the first film, she was up and out of her seat, walking back and forth between Nelson and me. So, we went home early. But she had an absolute blast and so did Nelson and I just watching her! :)
